I promised Rabbi Dardik that I would be there to direct folks into the small sanctuary, so if you come, I’ll see you there. I’ll be just returning from Tashlich in the park with all the Oakland congregations. I’m working on getting apples, honey and challah there so you aren’t too hungry.
Seder in September

(Wednesday is almost full but you can call and give it a try)

Yom Kippur feels like a lot?
What if you aren’t up to a day of fasting and praying for Yom Kippur? What if you are wisely taking my advice to go easy on your partner for their first High Holy Day experience?
Then come for a short - one hour - service on Yom Kippur afternoon.
Join a small circle of friendly people at a discussion based, experiential service on Saturday with a fascinating discussion of the Jewish view of “judgement” during the Days of Awe.

Return/Reflect/Remember
on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement
On Yom Kippur, Jewish tradition invites us to step back and reflect. Where are our lives are going? How are we spending our precious time? Do we need to shift direction in order to live as our highest and best selves? We also take time to remember those we have lost, and to consider how we might best honor their memory. We will explore these questions through learning, discussion, song, and time for introspection.
Date: Sat., Sept. 22
Time: 12-3 pm
Place: JGate, near El Cerrito Plaza BART, just north of Berkeley
